Hunts

Todd, Roy Clark and a Hee Haw Antelope

Bow Hunts
Bow hunting costs more because it requires more time and effort and the Bow Hunter is more selective. Our hunt area is one of the best ever for Bow Hunting. It is an historic rutting area for desert elk, and they practically run over you. The most difficult part is taking your time to select a worthy bull. This is where our guides come into play, as they can tell you almost to the inch what a bull will score.

Trophy Bull Elk Hunts
This hunt gives you control of the entire hunt area; no one else shoots anything unless you are satisfied that you don’t want it. We encourage anyone interested in a trophy bull to allow themselves at least two weeks for this hunt. Elk move through our area constantly, the rut is fluid by nature, and we see a lot of bulls. With this hunt we guarantee a score of 350 or you only pay $5000 (we refund $3000), not including the gratuity for your guide.

Cow Elk Hunts
This hunt is one of our most popular; it affords the first time hunter the experience of hunting in its purest form: meat hunting (afterall, you can’t eat horns!).

Just one of our nice bulls

Youth Cow Elk Hunt
This hunt is designed for first-time young hunters. We pick up youngsters at the airport and bring them to our ranch, where they stay with our family. They then tag along with one of our guides, submerged in the everyday workings of our outfitting business. Parents are welcome; we have lodging available. This hunt is offered so that we can meet and groom future hunters, outfitters and guides. We furnish everything; all you have to do is show up. We have lots to teach, so you must be ready to learn!

Day Hunts (Area 25 and 27)
These hunts are for those hunters who, after several days of unsuccessful hunting, decide they would like our help. These hunts are based on success only, but not on selectivity. This means we put you on the game, you take your shot. If you miss we'll take you out one more time; if you miss again, we will part company—no harm no foul. But if you draw blood, you will be expected to pay. For bull hunters, you take the bull we put you on. If you do not want that bull, you will NOT be charged, but we won’t take you again unless paid in advance—one free look only!

Meat Hunter (Area 25 and 27)
This hunt is for the hunter who has gone full circle, who enjoys getting away and spending some quality time that can only be found in the thrill of the hunt. You need not have a license for this hunt; you simply come and spend time with us and share in our hunts. If you have a license we will help you get your game, get it processed and tan the hide (we pay for both).

A beauty by any measure!

Mule and Whitetail Buck Hunts
The Jarvis Properties in area 157 attract some of the largest bucks because of the incredible cover that is found in these hills and river bottom land.

Antelope Buck Hunts
Antelope Bucks are plentiful in our hunt area. As the Antelope “rut” winds down, the bucks gather on our ranch to rest. This is unusual behavior, which is quite unique, and allows the discriminating hunter many quality opportunities.

Pheasant Hunts
The Jarvis properties have an abundance of pheasants and accommodations. Our pheasant hunts are based on parties of six or less; larger parties will need to provide additional accommodations.
